National Wheelchair Basketball League – Round 1 Men's – Adelaide Thunder v Red Dust Heelers

The new look National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL) and Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League (WNWBL) is finally here! Wheelchair Basketball Australia, with the endorsement of Basketball Australia is excited to launch the 2024 season.
The (NWBL) and the (WNWBL) each have a long and proud history dating back to 1988 for the men and 2000 for the women. It’s been the pathway for our elite athletes to compete against the best in the world and the avenue for people with a disability to represent and inspire.
The men’s national wheelchair basketball team, the Rollers have qualified for Paris and all players aiming to be on the plane will suit up for NWBL 2024. The women’s team, the Gliders missed out on a spot at this year’s Paralympics which saw qualification reduce from twelve teams to eight, but the 2024 WNWBL season will provide an important outlet for female players to participate, compete and improve.
